This is pretty self-explanatory. The typing was, as usual, part of the animation.
The actor could pretend to type without affecting the animation.
Once we got past the data screen at the beginning, the idea was that the
data and pictures were scrolling and flashing too fast to see.
I can't take credit for the demon pictures -- they were supplied by our creature people.

In action in the episode, this screen had built-in pauses that co-ordinated with the action.
There was an onscreen arrow that was controlled by the operator.
At these pause points the animation would not proceed until the operator clicked
the mouse offscreen, often on a particular button on screen.
However the screen would activate just on the click, whether or not the
operator hit the right button on screen.
